Well, guess what? This is one you have to get off the couch and go to. Los Muertos Urban Kitchen & Cantina may be located on the far side of the Northern Colorado world from me, but I will be there again real soon. Yes, tacos are good but I have one word for you: PATIO.
Our experience at the Fiery Foods & BBQ Show led to the discovery of new hot sauces and new businesses. It may inspire you to go next year.
This year, we started a monthly Supper Club with friends. There aren’t any hard and fasts rules other than it should be a new-to-all-of-us restaurant. I am not writing about this generally, but this time we chose to go to Birdhouse in Erie, Colorado. This restaurant serves up tacos and ramen, and therefore I felt obligated to write about it here.
We used a quick business trip to Scottsdale, Arizona, as an excuse to eat tacos and drink beer.
It is slightly embarrassing that I haven’t written about this place yet. I regularly tell people this is the best taco I’ve had in Loveland. We have been going here for many years. Of course, there are tacos I haven’t tried in Loveland, but of the ones I’ve eaten, this is my favorite.
It turns out, Silverthorne, Colorado, has got the tacos. I spent an entire day eating just tacos and was perfectly happy in the Colorado mountains.
Would your “Best Of” list really be a “My Favorites” list? Let’s face it, best is subjective and that’s why you won’t see a Best Tacos list here but I’ll tell you about my favorite places.
Unless you don’t like tacos, tequila and dancing, there is no reason this event shouldn’t be on your schedule next year. However, you don’t have to take my word for it. I’ll show you in pictures why you should go.
In 2018, I wrote When It Comes to Tacos, Longmont is Winning on HeidiTown.com. I took a little heat for not including Marcos Hot Dogs & Tacos in the post. I finally went.
I’m big on ambiance and this place has it in spades. I love the tiny patio, but inside, the bar is pretty chill too. Mojo Taqueria has that “we’re pretty cool without trying” feel.
