If you’d like to listen to some live music and eat some delicious tacos, head to one of the El Diablo locations. They have a few locations around Northern Colorado, plus a food truck that goes to places like Colorado State University Rams games.

Conveniently located near Zwei Brewing in Fort Collins, and in the corner behind Liquor Max off Eisenhower in Loveland, which is just down the street from our house. I have been a fan since they came into Loveland last year when Ryan picked up some tacos to go shortly after they opened.
One way to my heart is through a salsa bar, and they have one. We will also duck in for a quick beer because they have Mexican beer on tap and really nice people behind the bar. By the way, they have the best avocado green sauce I’ve ever tasted. And their hot salsa is actually hot, just ask Ryan!
We decided on a whim to stop in after a long Saturday watching the planes at the Great Colorado Airshow last weekend. Turns out they have live music on Saturday nights in Loveland and the following night at the Lemay location (an entire band plays on Sundays in Fort Collins).

Live music, beer and a salsa bar—that’s a good Saturday night. I ordered the birria taco plate and Ryan had a birria burrito. We were quite happy and just happened to sit by the owner of El Diablo, who is a hardworking restaurateur. I also learned that they cook the birria meat for a very long time and it’s so tender. They also have birria ramen, which combines all my favorite things, so I might have to try that next time.
I know we’ll continue to visit. The musician who played Saturday night had broken a string on his guitar, so he was just singing covers to a backup track by the time we arrived. And he was good! He sang “Billie Jean” and that song was stuck in my head for the rest of the week.
This place is 1000% worth a stop.
By the way, we usually go here on a whim and I don’t think to take photos! So, I only have these three. I’ll add some at a later date!
